Basketball Recap: Denver South Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Denver South lost against Rangeview back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Denver South Ravens took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangeview Raiders. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Denver South saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ka'Niya Anderson posted ten points and seven boards.

Nylah Duncan went supernova for Rangeview, going 5 of 11 on her way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Duncan has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zania Romero-King, who had nine points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Denver South's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-5. As for Rangeview, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Denver East the next time they take the court. Denver South will head out to face Denver East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Rangeview will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
