Basketball Game Preview: Lehi Pioneers vs. Davis Darts

The Lehi Pioneers will take on the Davis Darts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Lehi was able to grind out a solid win over Pleasant Grove, taking the game 50-42.

Ellie Hill was the offensive standout of the game as she went 5-for-11 en route to 12 points and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Jepson, who scored seven points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Davis earned a 57-47 victory over Weber on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Darts.

Lehi better focus on containing T'Maea Eteuati and Kate Willard as the pair were huge in Davis' win. Eteuati went 9-for-20 on her way to 22 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Willard had 11 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Peery, who put up eight points.

Davis was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Davis pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points over those games. As for Lehi, their record is now 13-10.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lehi has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.6 rebounds.
