Volleyball Game Preview: Whitney Young Dolphins vs. Taft Eagles

The Whitney Young Dolphins will head out to square off against the Taft Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Whitney Young is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Loyola Academy just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ramblers.

Meanwhile, Taft was able to grind out a solid victory over Senn on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

While Taft won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Whitney Young, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.

Whitney Young came up short against Taft in their previous meeting back in April, falling 2-0. Can the Dolphins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
