Volleyball Game Preview: North Adams Green Devils vs. West Union Dragons

North Adams is a perfect 10-0 against West Union since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Green Devils will welcome the Dragons at 5:30 p.m. West Union took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on North Adams, who comes in off a win.

Northwest came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against North Adams, but Morgan Wheeler wouldn't allow it. The Green Devils put the hurt on the Mohawks with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday with plenty of help from Wheeler, who had 11 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-8, 25-16.

Meanwhile, West Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Piketon.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-13.

West Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for North Adams, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's contest: North Adams has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.8 aces per game. However, it's not like West Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

North Adams was able to grind out a solid win over West Union in their previous matchup back in August, winning 3-1. Will the Green Devils repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
