On Monday, Basha humbled Agua Fria with a 61-33 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Basha.
Basha found their leader in underclassman Makaila Quinney, who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds. Rose Bosch was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 11 rebounds and 5 assists.
When it comes to explaining why Agua Fria lost, one person who can't be blamed is Karla Mendez. Despite the final result, she scored 3 points along with 8 steals.
Basha's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Agua Fria, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Basha will square off against Higley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Agua Fria, they will square off against Prescott at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Prescott focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.
