Baseball Recap: Sanford Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sanford's offense. They fell 3-0 to the South Portland Red Riots on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Brady Adams was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in May of 2024.

Sanford's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Portland, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.1, the Knights 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
