Baseball Recap: Appalachian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Appalachian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hackleburg Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Appalachian's loss dropped their record down to 29-4. As for Hackleburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hackleburg beat Appalachian by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.
