Softball Preview: Thurston Colts vs. Crater Comets        
        
		
            
 The Thurston Colts will head out on the road to  square off against  the Crater Comets at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the  matchup red-hot, with Thurston sitting on  12 straight  wins and Crater on three.
 On Saturday, Thurston had just enough and edged Eagle Point out  10-8.
 The team  relied heavily on  Bailey Tovey, who  went 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kassy Anderson, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Friday Crater sidestepped North Eugene for  a  3-1 victory.
 Thurston has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record  this season. As for Crater, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Thurston couldn't quite finish off Crater in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 and fell  6-4. Can Thurston avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
