Basketball Recap: Blackville-Hilda Comes Up Short

Blackville-Hilda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Calhoun County Saints 95-47. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Hawks of the 80-50 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Blackville-Hilda lost, don't look at Messiah McFadden. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Trevor Kinard, who posted ten points.
