Barbe came tearing into Friday's game with 23 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Grace Christian Warriors an 18-0 shutout. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matches by six runs or more this season.

Presley Courville was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Haden Heath, who scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Barbe's victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Grace Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-11.

Looking ahead, Barbe will square off against St. Louis Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grace Christian, they will challenge Simpson at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
