Basketball Game Preview: Elizabeth Bulldogs vs. Torres Toros

The Elizabeth Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Torres Toros at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Elizabeth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Torres likes a good challenge.

Elizabeth will head out to face Torres after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. Elizabeth took a hard 75-56 fall against Sotomayor. The Bulldogs were down 57-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Torres played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Marquez 82-26. The game marked the Toros' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Elizabeth's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Torres, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Elizabeth came up short against Torres in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 48-43. Can Elizabeth avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
