Volleyball Recap: Lanesboro Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mabel-Canton, Lanesboro was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Spring Grove Lions 3-2. For the Burros, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Lanesboro took Spring Grove into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-14, 18-25, 25-22, 15-9.

When it comes to explaining why Spring Grove lost, don't look at Izabel Kaufmann. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and three aces.

The win got Lanesboro back to even at 2-2. As for Spring Grove, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lanesboro will square off against rival Schaeffer Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Spring Grove is set to take on their familiar foe Grand Meadow at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Superlarks a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
