Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Elk Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Laguna Creek Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Elk Grove wouldn't go down easily and took Laguna Creek into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-27, 25-18, 15-5.

Elk Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Laguna Creek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Elk Grove has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Yerba Buena on the 11th. As for Laguna Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Monterey Trail on the 14th.
