Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Mourning

There's no place like home for Mourning, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes 3-0 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-4, 25-20.

Mourning's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ezekiel Kogan, who had eight digs.

Mourning was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 34 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Mourning's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-12. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Mourning will challenge Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will take on Hebrew Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
