Basketball Recap: Coconut Creek Takes a Loss

Coconut Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They were dealt a 74-26 defeat at the hands of the McArthur Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

McArthur's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Noel, who posted 13 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Thomas Cole, who had 15 points.

Coconut Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for McArthur, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Coconut Creek will face off against Northeast on Monday. As for McArthur, they will take on Dillard at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. McArthur is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.
