Softball Recap: Coginchaug Regional Comes Up Short

The Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils didn't have quite enough to beat the E.O. Smith/Tolland Bucks on Friday and fell 8-7. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coginchaug Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for E.O. Smith/Tolland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Coginchaug Regional will host Hand at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for E.O. Smith/Tolland, they will head out to square off against South Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Bucks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
