Softball Recap: Thatcher's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Thatcher fell victim to Desert Vista and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 17-0 to the Desert Vista Thunder. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

With the loss, Thatcher broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Desert Vista, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Thatcher wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-2 win against Flowing Wells on the 26th. As for Desert Vista, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Tanque Verde on the 27th.
