Flag Football Game Preview: Foothill Mustangs vs. Johnson Warriors + How To Watch

The Foothill Mustangs will challenge the Johnson Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Foothill 13.7, Johnson 12.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

Johnson will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Foothill extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Mustangs never let Burbank get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Johnson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 35-20 bruising from Florin. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Warriors, who until this game were averaging 12.88 points allowed.

Foothill will have to contain Nala Wysinger as she made an impact in Johnson's last game. She rushed for 105 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 19 passes. Another player making a difference was Lilian Phyapakdy, who picked up 124 receiving yards and one score.

The win got Foothill back to even at 8-8. As for Johnson, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Foothill was taken down by Johnson 32-0 when the teams last played back in September. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Warriors' Anissa Zavala, who rushed for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 178 yards and three TDs. Now that the Mustangs know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
