Basketball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Biloxi

Biloxi had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against the Washington-Marion Charging Indians by a score of 49-36. The 49-point effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Reggie MaGee had a dynamite game for Biloxi, going 7 for 11 on his way to 18 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Montalvo, who posted 13 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Several Charging Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was ASHTON SAVOIE, who had 15 points. MONTE FARMER was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Biloxi's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.9 points. As for Washington-Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Biloxi will take on Hancock in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington-Marion and Sulphur will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington-Marion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season.
