Volleyball Recap: Union Grove Wins Going Away Against Greenfield

With a playoff win on the line, Union Grove rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks 3-0. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Emma Sorensen was nothing short of spectacular: she had 19 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had since back in September. Another player making a difference was Jana Brown, who had six kills and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Union Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests.

Union Grove is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-20 record this season. As for Greenfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Union Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Oak Creek on the 30th. Greenfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
