            Volleyball Recap: Camdenton Lakers vs. Willard Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Camdenton saw some tournament action  on Friday. They fell  2-0 to the Willard Tigers.
 Camdenton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  second set very close. The final score came out to 25-17,  25-23.
Their offense was headlined by  Madison Sykora and  Macy Mellencamp, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from  Bella Asante and her 12 assists. She was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with four aces.
 Willard got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Ashlyn Hurd out in front who  had six  aces and five  assists. That's the most  aces  Hurd has posted  over her last 13  matchups. Another player making a difference was  Kylin Vandever, who  had 12  digs.
Camdenton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-3. As for Willard, they pushed their record up to 8-4-2 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Camdenton has already played their next contest,  a  2-0  win against Springfield Catholic on the 20th. As for Willard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  2-0  victory against Branson on the 19th.
