High school football rankings: Muskego tops Wisconsin Preseason MaxPreps Top 25

By Kevin Askeland Aug 12, 2021, 1:00pm

Top-ranked Warriors enter 2021 season riding a 37-game win streak.

Without a loss since the 2017 season, Muskego is the easy choice to begin the season as the top-ranked high school football team in Wisconsin. The Warriors have won 37 games in a row with two straight state championships. In a shortened 2020 season with no state playoffs, Muskego went 9-0 with only one game closer than a 21-point advantage.

Fond du Lac can't be overlooked as a possible challenger to Muskego after averaging 58 points per game last year. With a 7-0 record in 2020, the Cardinals knocked off perennial powerhouse Kimberly 71-47 in the final game of the season. Menomonee Falls, meanwhile, lost just once last year (8-1), and that was to Muskego.

Wisconsin plans on playing a regular fall season in 2021 with the regular season ready to begin next week and the playoffs to commence in mid-October.
