Baseball Recap: Bonnabel's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bonnabel took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against East Jefferson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Bonnabel came out on top in a nail-biter against East Jefferson on Friday, sneaking past 8-7. The win was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won three games in a row.

Elijah Martin was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Yandel Obando was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Martin wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bonnabel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bonnabel's record now sits at 13-10. As for East Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 10-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonnabel will face off against L.W. Higgins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Jefferson, they will take on Springfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. East Jefferson's pitchers better be ready for this one: Springfield has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
