It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Auburn ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Fort Chiswell Pioneers. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Auburn were the better team in the second half.

The victory made it two in a row for Auburn and bumps their season record up to 7-3-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two contests. As for Fort Chiswell, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Auburn will head out to take on Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Chiswell, they will venture away from home to face off against Giles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fort Chiswell are facing Giles at the right time seeing as Giles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
