Football Recap: Clear Dot Charter Falls to Baptist Hill in First Game of Season

Clear Dot Charter kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Baptist Hill Bobcats, falling 48-20.

Despite the loss, Clear Dot Charter still got an impressive performance from Lucas Tejada, who threw for 269 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards.

Baptist Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Franklin out in front who threw for 226 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Those three passing touchdowns gave Franklin a new career-high. EK Thompson helped Franklin out on the ground, rushing for 106 yards on only 13 carries, while also picking up 44 receiving yards.

Clear Dot Charter has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against West-Oak on the 28th. As for Baptist Hill, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Charleston at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th.
