McMichael has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.04 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They fell just short of the West Stokes Wildcats by a score of 10-9. The Phoenix's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lindsay Redmon was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she tossed 11 innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off 13 hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-6 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Ava Harris stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-6 with one home run and one double. Olivia Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-7 with two runs and one triple.

McMichael's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for West Stokes, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

As of now, neither McMichael nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
