Basketball Game Preview: Milano Eagles vs. Shiner Comanches

The Milano Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Shiner Comanches at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Milano is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 28, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 47-23 to Thorndale. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1442nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 616th).

Meanwhile, Shiner had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 52-44 win over the Dragons.

Shiner pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Milano, their loss dropped their record down to 10-18.
