Soccer Game Preview: Richland vs. Bonham

The Richland Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Bonham Warriors at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Richland will be strutting in after a win while Bonham will be coming in after a loss.

Richland will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Friday, then bounced right back against Pilot Point on Wednesday. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Bearcats. Considering Richland have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Bonham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Sanger.

Richland is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Bonham, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything went Richland's way against Bonham in their previous meeting on February 2nd, as Richland made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
