Soccer Game Preview: Woodbridge vs. Portola

The Woodbridge Warriors and the Portola Bulldogs will compete for holiday cheer at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodbridge's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Friday, neither Woodbridge nor St. Margaret's could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Portola kept a clean sheet against University on Friday. They skirted past the Trojans 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Portola were the better team in the second half.

Woodbridge's draw makes their record 1-4-2 this season. As for Portola, the win got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Everything went Woodbridge's way against Portola when the teams last played back in January, as Woodbridge made off with a 4-1 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
