Softball Recap: Kent Island Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Caroline last Wednesday, Kent Island came back down to earth. The Buccaneers fell 10-6 to the Colonel Richardson Colonels on Tuesday. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Abby Mahaffey was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.

Kent Island's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Colonel Richardson, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Kent Island is set to square off against their familiar foe St. Michaels at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Colonel Richardson will challenge rival Easton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
