Baseball Recap: Snyder Takes a Loss

Snyder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Merkel Badgers.

Seth Cooper was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Callen Green, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Merkel, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2-1.

Coincidentally, Snyder and Merkel will both be playing Big Spring the next time they take the field. Merkel will head out to face Big Spring at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Snyder will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
