Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders and fell 75-38. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 12 in a row.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's loss came despite strong showings from Jaidon Anderson and Max Roque. Anderson posted 12 points, while Roque scored no points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Molina, who earned four points.

Mason Lopez went supernova For Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North., going 10-for-18 en route to 34 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Matthew Archer, who had ten points and three steals.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will face off against Rio Grande City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, they will take on La Feria at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
