Basketball Recap: Quantico Comes Up Short

If Quantico was riding high fresh off their 51-30 takedown of King Abdullah Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Quantico Warriors had to suffer through a 40-9 loss at the hands of the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Randolph-Macon Academy found their leader in sophomore Bijou Kebbay, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Kebbay's afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kay Perry was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Quantico's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Quantico didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-10 defeat against Fredericksburg Academy on the 23rd. As for Randolph-Macon Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-27 loss against Highland on the 24th.
