Volleyball Recap: Scott Comes Up Short

Scott was the 3-0 winner over Conner when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Cougars on Wednesday.

While Scott ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Scott lost, don't look at Emory Sullivan. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, Sullivan is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

Scott dropped their record down to 18-11 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Conner, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

Scott has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Campbell County on the 2nd. As for Conner, they will challenge Boone County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
