The Potlatch Loggers will challenge the Genesee Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Potlatch is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Prairie 17-3. Winning may never get old, but the Loggers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Potlatch got a great performance from Brieanna Winther as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Hayley McNeal and Olivia Smith did most of the damage at the plate: McNeal went a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI, while Smith got on base in all four of her plate appearances with six stolen bases and four runs. McNeal has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaida Andres, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Potlatch hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Genesee got themselves on the board against Clearwater Valley on Monday, but Clearwater Valley never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Genesee let Sophie Johnson and Makayla Herman run wild. Johnson went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Herman went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. Jubalee Vandenbos was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Potlatch's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Genesee, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Potlatch has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Genesee struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
