Volleyball Recap: Gunn Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Gunn came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Evergreen Valley Cougars by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

Gunn never let Evergreen Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-11.

Elizabeth Tanriverdi paced Gunn's offense, picking up ten kills. Tanriverdi got some help from Audra Yuan and her 20 assists. Yuan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Gunn's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Evergreen Valley, they dropped their record down to 10-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Gunn will welcome Lynbrook at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evergreen Valley, they will head out to face off against Westmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
