New Designs Watts came up into this matchup off a tough 43-point loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Magnolia Science Academy Reseda by a score of 51-48 on Monday. One positive for the Knights, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Santiago against Riverside Prep last Monday as the team secured a 61-29 win. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 29 points or more this season.

Santiago has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for New Designs Watts, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
