Basketball Game Preview: Howe Bulldogs vs. Gunter Tigers

Howe and Gunter are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Howe Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gunter Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Howe came up short against Pottsboro on Tuesday, falling 70-44. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1107th, while the Cardinals are ranked 338th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gunter faced off against Pottsboro on Friday. Gunter fell to Pottsboro 48-43.

Gunter's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Howe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
