Soccer Game Preview: Conifer vs. Wheat Ridge

Conifer is 0-6 against Wheat Ridge since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. Conifer will welcome Wheat Ridge at 6:30 p.m. Conifer has given up an average of 4.6 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Conifer fell victim to Green Mountain and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 8-0. Conifer have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Wheat Ridge and Standley Lake have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. Wheat Ridge fell just short of Standley Lake by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Wheat Ridge have lost by just one goal.

Conifer now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Wheat Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-2.

Conifer suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Wheat Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Conifer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
