Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Brashear

It was a proper cat-fight when Brashear duked it out withGrundy County/Newtown-Harris on Friday. The Brashear Tigers came out on top against the Grundy County/Newtown-Harris Panthers by a score of 45-38. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 46-41 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexa Stonger, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 18 points and six steals. Those 18 points gave Stonger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Allnutt, who posted 16 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.
