Football Game Preview: North Olmsted Eagles vs. Bay Rockets

The North Olmsted Eagles will head out to take on the Bay Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Olmsted has given up an average of 26.7 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Olmsted is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Rocky River on Friday. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Pirates. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 49 points the game before, Bay was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost to Valley Forge at home by a 19-0 margin. The game marked the first time this year in which the Rockets were not able to get on the board.

Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for North Olmsted, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

North Olmsted didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bay when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 14-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
