After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maryville, Chillicothe was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cameron Dragons , sneaking past 28-26. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Chillicothe got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Oliver Perry out in front who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Perry a new career-high in rushing yards. Another back making a difference was Logan Murrell, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.

Chillicothe wouldn't let Cameron keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force eight fumbles. Bo Smith led the group effort, picking up six of those forced fumbles all by himself. With that strong performance, Max Probasco is now averaging an impressive 6.2 total tackles per game.

Chillicothe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 351 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Chillicothe's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. As for Cameron, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Chillicothe will head out to take on St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cameron, they will host Maryville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
