Volleyball Game Preview: Central Indians vs. Northland Christian

After both having extra time off, the Central Indians and Northland Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Central is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Oak Park just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Northmen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered since April 17th.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Oak Park scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Northland Christian entered their game against Rockhurst last Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Northland Christian came up short against Rockhurst, falling 3-0.

Northland Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Rockhurst work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 26-24.

Northland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 18-13.
