Basketball Recap: Limon Skates Past Las Animas with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Limon on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Las Animas Trojans out of the water with a 63-28 final score. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 24 points or more this season.

Drey Tacha had an outrageously good game as he went 9 for 14 on his way to 19 points and five steals. Limon is undefeated when Tacha posts five or more steals, but 2-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Kollath, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Limon's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Las Animas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Limon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-10 win against Deer Trail on the 1st. As for Las Animas, they have also already played their next contest, a 56-54 loss against Swink on the 1st.
