Baseball Recap: Polytechnic Comes Up Short

Polytechnic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Granite Hills Cougars.

Caiden Kennedy made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

Polytechnic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Granite Hills, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polytechnic will host Sage Hill at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lightning have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Granite Hills, they will welcome Apple Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
