Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Tigers vs. Kennedale Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 games.

Lincoln took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They escaped with a win against Pinkston by the margin of a single free throw, 66-65.

Meanwhile, Kennedale entered their tilt with Canton on Thursday with ten consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 11. They blew past the Eagles 68-40. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Eagles are ranked 532nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kennedale pushed their record up to 27-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points over those games. As for Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-19 record this season.
