Basketball Recap: Shadow Mountain Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Shadow Mountain extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They took a 75-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tempe Buffaloes. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Matadors still had to take the loss.

As for Tempe, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tempe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Murphy led the charge by putting up 15 points along with six assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Josiah Criss, who posted 19 points and three steals.

Coming up, Shadow Mountain will square off against Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tempe, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marcos de Niza at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Buffaloes will be up against the Padres' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
