Volleyball Recap: Glynn Academy's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Glynn Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Richmond Hill Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Glynn Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 21-25, 15-11.

Richmond Hill had a senior duo take command as Bryanna Da Silva had seven digs and two aces and Grace Duffie had nine digs and nine assists. Da Silva is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Glynn Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 25-12. As for Richmond Hill, they pushed their record up to 37-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Glynn Academy and Richmond Hill will both be playing Savannah Arts Academy the next time they take the court. The Terrors will head out to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
