Football Game Preview: Orting Cardinals vs. Foss Falcons

The Orting Cardinals will head out to take on the Foss Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Orting has five straight wins, Foss has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Orting will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Steilacoom, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals came out on top against the Sentinels by a score of 35-26 on Friday. Orting's victory was all the more impressive since the Sentinels were averaging only 11.8 points allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Foss came up short against Washington on Saturday and fell 20-12.

Foss' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Orting, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Orting against Foss in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-6 victory. In that matchup, the Cardinals amassed a halftime lead of 34-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
