Volleyball Recap: Caprock Longhorns vs. Monterey Plainsmen

Caprock lost against Monterey back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Caprock Longhorns lost 3-0 to the Monterey Plainsmen. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Plainsmen recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-14.

Leading Monterey to victory were Avery Bradley and Harper Joachim. Bradley had nine digs and two aces, while Joachim had eight digs.

Caprock's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-16. As for Monterey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-17 record this season.

Caprock will be playing in front of their home fans against Amarillo at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Amarillo will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Caprock surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monterey, they will head out on the road to square off against Lubbock at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Monterey is facing Lubbock at the right time seeing as Lubbock is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
